An NBC Today Show team (correspondent Mark Mullins) aired a 3-minute Elves & More segment on Elves & More on Christmas Eve, 2004. This was the first national story on Elves & More, and is one reason why our Christmas Program is gaining a foothold in new cities around the nation for the 2006 Christmas season.
Bicycling Magazine's Christmas 2004 carried a feature article ("Must be Santa") on Elves & More. This was the first national publication to do so. So far, this has led to community leaders in several other cities choosing to apply the Elves & More approach.
The Houston Chronicle was the Official News Sponsor of the 2004 Elves & More Christmas Program. Starting Thanksgiving week, they ran public-service advertisements in support of the Christmas program. Ken Hoffman wrote several articles about our program.
The Elves & More Tour-de-Hood 100 Cycling Team was featured in a Chronicle article by Janette Rodrigues on November 7, 2004.
Steve Wasserman, general manager of KPRC Channel 2 (the local NBC affiliate), gave an on-air editorial (October 20, 2004) encouraging community support of the Elves & More program. Roseann Rogers included an Elves & More segment on her show, The Buzz, on November 6, 2004.
KPRC Channel 2 was the Official Television Sponsor of the Elves & More Program and, along with sponsor Finger Furniture, ran a number of television spots and public-service announcements in support of our program last Christmas.
